I felt it was pretty clear-cut, "yo if you want your ship getting through this final mission make sure it has all the upgrades your squad tells you to put on it.Mass Effect: Foundation Volume 1 by Mac Walters 24 copies, 3 reviews The incredibly dumb terminator thing at the end of ME2 was a huge bummer, as was mining planets and having half my crew die because I didn't level up my ship which in my opinion wasn't very well explained why I had to. Yeah the ending in Mass Effect 2 really was tarnished by that lazy stereotypical videogame final boss, but the characters and the fleshed out universe still edged out Red Dead. They're both great games with their own narrative faults, while Red Dead had the stronger main thread all the side stuff and the things you did in between fell sort of short for me. It really could have went either way for me. Don't get me wrong I think they're both amazing games. RDR had moments of brilliance, but there was a lot of filler in between them. ME2 had its weak points, but it was a brilliant game overall. I had just to break out the Old West rant. :-) I figure, enjoy what you want to enjoy. Ah, it feels good having my daily rant out of the way already. Mass Effect may be sci-fi, but there's less scientific fiction in it than historical fiction in RDR. Life in the Old West was, for the most part, pretty boring. If they took the time to aim down the barrel, they'd still miss by a good three. Revolvers were so inaccurate back in those days that both guys would have drawn, fired from the hip, and missed by about ten feet.

:-D In all seriousness, it bugs me how people romanticize the Old West, seeing as how it's nearly 100% fiction. "If by "real men" you mean those men who prefer the love of a steer to the love of a woman. There is only one correct answer here: Red Dead Redemption. " Nerds are going to be more partial towards lame ass sci-fi nonsense.
